What is the difference between natural alkaline water and ionized alkaline water?

 There are several key points:

  • The pH process in Seychelle products is natural and combines the ionic capability and filtration that removes both Inorganic and Organic contamination.
  • The only product on the market that provides pure filtered alkaline water.
  • This process allows the pH to last for up to three to six months depending upon the source water being filtrate.
  • An inexpensive way to receive the benefits of alkaline water naturally.
    • Approximately $60.00 vs. up to $5,000. for some ionizer units.

  • Ionizers require electric power to create  the ion charge across on the metal plate the source water is being charged, generally it is titanium.  This process changes the structure of the water.
  • Ionizers only hold the ph a very short period of time.  Three to four days.
  • Also these units do not  remove general contamination.
  • The cost for the machines and accessories is quite substantial!!
    • Some units cost up to $5,000.

What is the difference between acidic and alkaline (or pH levels)?

pH is quite an important measurement of water.

pH is a measure of how acidic/basic water is. The range goes from 0 - 14, with 7 being neutral. pHs of less than 7 indicate acidity, whereas a pH of greater than 7 indicates a base. pH is really a measure of the relative amount of free hydrogen and hydroxyl ions in the water. ..Since pH can be affected by chemicals in the water, pH is an important indicator of water that is changing chemically. (USGS.gov)  Because many of the food and beverage items we consume are acidic, increasing the alkalinity in our water is one way to help keep the body’s pH level neutral.

There are some studies that indicate maintaining a neutral pH level in the body helps prevent illnesses.  It can be related to maintaining the proper pH levels in fish tanks to prevent algae and other harmful contaminants; similarly, swimming pools require the proper pH level maintaining the right balance to prevent algae and keep the water safe for swimming.

How does the filter work?

By forcing the source water through the patent pended filter, contaminants and pollutants are removed, while beneficial trace minerals remain.  Seychelle's exclusive Ionic Adsorption Micro-Filtration coordinates all processes of contaminant reduction by adsorption, absorption, chemical bonding, chelation, and depth filtration. Each product is designed to guarantee the greatest amount of reduction per contaminant.

What does the filter take out?

The micro-porous body of the filter spearheads the removal of what is referred to as the “A, B, C, D and R” of water contamination:

  • Aesthetic – unpleasant taste and odors, cloudiness, silt, sediment, chlorine, and chlorine byproducts.
  • Biological – harmful microscopic pathogens, including cryptosporidium, giardia, e-coli, and other cysts and spores.
  • Chemicals – toxic chemicals (VOCs), trihalomethanes, PCBs, PCEs, detergents, and pesticides.
  • Dissolved Solids – heavy metals including aluminum, fluoride, cadmium, chromium 6, copper, lead, arsenic, and mercury
  • Radiological – gross beta, radon 222, alpha radium 226, uranium, plutonium, cesium 134 and cesium 137.

Filter Type Details

Have the filters been tested?

These filters are the most laboratory and field-tested of their kind in the world, tested to EPA Protocols and NSF / ANSI Standards 42 & 53 by Broward Testing Laboratory.

How long do the filters last?

Filters last indefinitely if unopened.  Once they are in use, they will process up to the number of gallons specified for each filter type.

Are beneficial minerals removed from the water after it is filtered?

No, the patented process is designed to ensure beneficial elements are retained in the water.
